Having burst my coupon in victory so many times this tournament, they've done it again, this time in defeat. The boring Teutons march onward despite being frank, absolutely rubbish. The Greek former champs sail home, the Russians live to fight another day. Spain manage to win the group in the dying seconds of the game leaving Sweden to square up to the Russians for the remaining place. Not the best of nights for visual entertainment, but for points its equal highest scores since Portugal v Turkey, 34 in total. If only Mutu had done less coke and spent more time practising penalties, the Azurri would be on their way home. Great pity.
